NEW PORN CONSERVATIVES

Heather Brooke and her husband Jim are what I call “porn conservatives.” 

This does not mean they must vote Republican. They could – but your political affilitation does not determine the depths of yoru being.

An authentic conservative is a person who possess a full complement of healthy "old-fashioned" instincts. These instincts are pathways in the unconscious mind.  Through these deep emotional passages flow streams of stimulation that guide our actions and determine our attitudes.

They are like tiny living robots who perform very specific tasks that we call evaluation, intuition and reaction.  We are filled with programs that have been built up over many thousands of years.  Fora long time, the human race has lived in agriculturally-based empires and made primary use of symbolic-emotional thinking.  It was an Age of Faith, Duty & Holy Books.

When people live together in the same fashion for a long time they begin to grow into a Nation.  A Nation can be racial, ideological, economic, geographic, etc.  It simply means a swarming mass of people who share common structure and value-instincts.  The old conventional needs are still traced upon the souls of contemporary people.  This is especially true of folks who live in rural communities and small towns where many of the old ways still continue.  It is also true of people whose adaptation to modern life is only superficial -- which is often the case when nourishment, affection, discipline & education have been insufficient.

A conservative has the confidence stemming from an active array of classical instincts.  A liberal has an optimistic faith in new forms of knowledge that have not yet been deeply internalized into the masses of people.  And, of course, every possible mixture of these elements exists.  

Conservative or "conventionalist" values typically include the following instinctive feelings: a single set of rules should govern all tribes, a powerful chieftain should take control and "do what needs to get done," war is perimissible for security, resource acquisition and pride, folks should be honest, direct, sincere, and helpful to other members of the Nation, to acknowledge is to advocate,  morality is believed to be connected with the highest symbolic authority, reverence and morality should be cultivated, resources should be carefully guarded and hard-work used to ensure prosperity and well-being for future generations, governments should not interfere in the private lives of citizens.

A brief understanding of this classical Conservatism should puzzle us.  We are forced to wonder why worldwide conservative political movements are not adamant environmentalists, devoting to keeping the law out of our bedrooms, ensuring our rights to use any drugs we choose and demanding a disciplined education for our children in "the classics."  Instead, all too often we find that "popular right wing" organizations are infested with parasites -- remorseless power-seekers and tribal thugs who abuse the authoritarian trust of the conservative masses.  These anarchist-totalitarians (political sociopaths) attempt to create the circumstances under which they themselves can prosper: turmoil, distress, secrecy, contradiction, etc.  Although there is no shortage of schemers and fools among the liberal-progressives and rational-socialists we must face the fact that the good instincts of "old-fashioned folks" have been distorted, betrayed and disgraced by most of the prominent right-wing politicians.  

Set in sharp contrast to this great mess are Heather and Jim Harmon -- authentic conservatives, conventionalists of the spirit, porn conservatives.  

Some of the words that best define them?   Private. Family-oriented. Loving. Trusting. Sincere. Normal. Faithful. Entrepreneurs. Wholesome. 

It may not seem that exhibitionistic, cyberspatial sex-profiteering is old-fashioned and conventional -- but that's because we have such short memories.  If we stretch our minds back we will discover that Conservatism is older than today's ideas about Judeo-Christianity.  There were good, decent folk in Pagan Rome, in Archaic Egypt and throughout the hot Empires of Meso-America.  Looking over our list of general conservative values we can easily see how much flexibility is contained in these instincts.  

For example, the ancient Greek "mystery cults" were a combination of Christmas Pageant and Community Church – the dutifully performed, life-affirming, pro-family, pro-nation committment to Divine Law.  Instead of Santa Claus and Jesus Christ they had Dionysus and Apollo.  Instead of a few bottles of beer they had magic mushrooms.  And instead of singing Christmas carols or Hanuka songs or circling Mecca they had plays about the cruelty of Fate and the public observance of ritual copulation. 

Is than't what Jim and Heather are doing? 

They are providing a public observance of copulation, through the “ether waves” of the internet, an they are doing this all with a good old-fashioned conversative instinct. These are the normal and good folk of Planet Earth. 

While they were still providing online sex shows they maintained privacy, maintained marital fidelity -- and their favourite position?  Missionary.  It doesn't get much more conservative than that.

Despite being one of the most popular sources of erotic energy in the world this couple has withdrawn from public performance for several years in order to do the best and most faithful child-raising that they can.
